Fall Bay
by Tim Solway
With a misty start to the day, and a slightly tired one for some people, we headed down to Rhossili. After getting lost a little bit on the walk down to the top of king wall Jess, Brodie, Jonny and I arrived and set up a few top ropes just in time for everyone else to arrive and the sun to come out. With the Freshers on the top ropes and others leading some trad routes above up a lewis castle, battling Cardiff for the routes they wanted to climb, including a rather tired Hugo doing his first VS.
As the day went on and the tide went out, we moved around to Devil’s truck for some more top roping. While the Freshers stayed on the top ropes a few of us went for a swim despite the lack of swimwear…
Once the top ropes had been exhausted we went to the top of Giant’s cave and abseiled through the hole at the top down to the nice golden sand where Emily was practising her photography skills. After a beautifully sunny day we walked back to the cars then drove back to pub in the pond for a well needed dinner.
